WHERE: Queen Elizabeth Walk, Barnes, London SW13 9WT

TRANSPORT: Nearest tube is Hammersmith, then jump on the number 283 direct to the centre, which takes about 10 minutes.

VERDICT: A perfect way to spend a Sunday. Breath in some beautiful countryside, observe some beautiful birds (who doesn’t like birds?) and purchase some beautiful items in the gift shop. This is a real sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and a lovely way of recharging your soul. Have a potter into Barnes afterwards, where there is an array of cute coffee shops, ye ol’ pubs and a branch of the wonderful Gail’s.

All aboard the bird bus!EntranceLake
