Attending Ballet classes as an adult is scary. As a child, I was blessed with rose-tinted enthusiasm, a delightful lack of self-awareness and effortless flexibility. But as an adult, it’s stressful enough putting on pink tights, let alone remembering to stand in First Position.
When I first started the little prince billy blog, it was a way of sharing thoughts and ideas about starting dance ‘late’. I found empathsising with those in similar situations to be incredibly helpful, and it was through seeking other websites that I found The Adult Ballerina Project, run by Kristen Gillette.
A fellow adult ballerina, Kristen writes honestly about all aspects of her own dance journey, offering support to others and providing a fantastic resource.
I was delighted when she agreed to feature me on the website – click below to read more!
